Upstox MTF (Margin Trading Facility) Charges
Brokerage: 0.05% or ₹20 whichever is lower / per order
Pledge Charges: ₹20 + 18% GST applicable on both MTF buy & MTF Sell transactions.
Interest Charges: Upstox charges ₹20 per day + GST for a slab of ₹40,000 or every funded amount slab is ₹40,000. The interest is applied until the stocks are sold.
Note: The slab is split for every ₹40,000, so any amount more than ₹40,000 a different slab is applicable and charged accordingly.

- Brokerage – 0.05% up to ₹20 per order charged on intraday equity stocks & FnO orders
- Delivery – 2.5% up to ₹20 per order charged on equity delivery investments
- Zero Commission on Mutual fund Investments
Government Charges
- STT (Securities Transaction Tax): This charges is levied by the government on both buy and sell orders for equity delivery & charged only on sell when you trade intraday in equity and FnO.
- GST 18% – Charged by the government on the services provided this is additional charges on brokerage, DP charges, Exchange charges, Sebi Ternover and auto square off charges.
- Stamp duty charges – Stamp duty charges are a part of the state government revenue system applicable on the trading of securities.
Regulatory Charges
- Transaction Charges – This charges applicable or charged by exchange (NSE, BSE) on the value of your transaction.
- SEBI Charges – SEBI a government body regulating the Indian securities market charged ₹10 per crore.
DP Charges
- ₹18.5 + GST per script, on the debit per company, is charged from the trading account when stocks are sold. This is charges by the depository and depository participant.
Delayed Payment Charges – 0.05% per day on account debit / negative balance in your trading account.
